UPDATE: Work at the Spring Source Complete

Work at the spring box has concluded for now and water is flowing into our storage tanks. Thank you for conserving water the last few days.
The spring box area was excavated, resealed, and regraded for better drainage. We will meet with the engineer on Monday to get updated on all the work that was done and what they suggest for additional protection. A flush valve was installed and this will be a valuable asset as we move forward with other work.
A reminder that we are still under a Boil Water Advisory.

Update to Water System Operating Status from DoH

Dear Glacier Springs and Glacier Green property owners,

Glacier Springs’ water system (#277559) is currently under Blue Operating Status as designated by the Washington Department of Health (DoH) and is under a Boil Water Advisory. This designation allows us to continue issuing water connection availability and collecting the associated connection fees for properties that have received initial zoning committee approval per the Association’s zoning processes: https://glaciersprings.org/building/.

Other permits, including occupancy permits issued at the end of construction, remain at the discretion of Whatcom County and may be affected by the water system’s status. Issuance of a water connection and payment of the associated fee is not a guarantee of Whatcom County approval, especially while the Blue Operating Status remains in effect. We recommend that property owners consult with the County to understand any potential impacts on their projects. Updates on the water system’s status will be communicated as they become available.Please note that our boil water advisory is still in effect. Please be assured that the board is working as diligently and quickly as we can to add a chlorination treatment system for safe drinking water.
